The contecting arms do not store easily into the holders on each side. Otherwise it is great.

I called the folks at Clore and asked them which battery pack to buy for intermittent emergency use for a car. These guys make many of the battery jumpers out there: Booster PAC, Solar, T-TECH, Jump-N-Carry. I’ve got a decent sized 6 cylinder car and they recommended this one. It’s actually cheaper than others they make.
I haven’t used it yet- but it was easy to charge at home and I keep it in my trunk. My only complaint so far is that there’s no case or easy place to store the 120v charger that comes with it. I just leave it in my garage.

I bought this booster because my auto mechanic could not determine why my battery kept going dead despite being newly replaced and testing good. It was a lot cheaper than paying him to replace things one at a time until he stumbled on the true cause. It’s light weight, leak-proof, and simple to use. So far I have only had to “top up” the charge once in about a month of daily use. I am planning to order these as Christmas gifts next year for other family members to keep in their cars.
They make a more powerful version, but this one seeems to have plenty of oomph for repeated use.

Very easy to charge. Bought with the volt meter so I could test my current battery’s status. Feel better about having this after recent battery problems with one of our cars. I would rather depend on myself than erratic service people.

The good stuff:
* It works
* It has a good shape/size
* It has a cutoff to prevent overcharging with the AC adapter and can be stored plugged in
The bad stuff:
* It would be nice if the cables were longer, as was noted by another reviewer
* The clamps are very bulky and can be difficult to attach to some terminals, particularly side pole terminals
* There is no safety feature to detect reversed cables
* There is no cutoff to protect from overcharging from the 12VDC socket
* There is a “fully charged” indicator light, however, the instructions say you are supposed to keep charging it for at least 4-6 hours AFTER it lights up on AC and 2 hours via VDC (which is strange advice since there is no cutoff for DC charging…)
